Summer Seasonal Peak and The Weather
Ayia Napa's busiest time is months July & August. This is not a surprise, of course, as this is peak time for the tourism all over the northern hemisphere. But in Ayia Napa the tidal forces of seasonal peaks are much stronger than other destinations.
Early comers first arrive at mid May. June is already packed, and July brings and explosion of happy campers which lasts until August 31st. During these two months, the town is always busy and noisy, filled with packs of bikini babes and half naked guys walking through the streets and beaches. Many attractions are suddenly opened and are available for only 2 months. The "Castle" club, for example, open its third dancing floor for this period only.
September shows a rapid decline, when the town suddenly loses 70% of the crowd. The tourists continue to dribble out until the end of the month. October is already dry. Most venues shut down on 10-15th of October.
The town is practically tourist-free (hence, almost deserted :)) for the entire Autumn - Winter period. (October - March).
The weather is hot, humid and always sunny, averaging 30°C (86°F) at mid summer on daytime, and dropping to about 20°C (68°F) at nights. So if you're coming at peak season, there's no need to bring a jacket. But don't forget your sun-tan lotion!
