Ayia Napa has dozens of clubs, dance bars and pubs. Every person can find a place they fancy, even if they prefer something different than Hip Hop, R&B, House or 70's-80's; Heavy Metal and Grunge venues are also available. However, the biggest and most popular clubs in Ayia Napa offer the most intense experience, regardless of which music they play. The nightlife has a certain routine which you should follow if you want to save some money:

The free entrance dance bars are opened at around 10pm, offering loud music and alcohol to get you started. They are promoted very aggressively on the streets- young babes wearing practically nothing shoving the boys & girls inside the venue they promote. Most dance bars play Hip Hop, Trance or 80's.
At 1am, all dance bars close and the nightclubs are opened, taking the partying action up a notch. All nightclubs close at 4am sharp. Then, fewer venues offer a late after-party scene which lasts until roughly 8am.

Bear in mind the following facts, they can save you money:

• Most nightclubs charge an admission fee. The fee ranges between 3-5 CYP.
• The early-night dance bars hand out free entrance coupons to some of the major nightclubs. So a 3 CYP drink also buys you entrance to nightclubs later on. When you order a drink at the bar, ask which free entrance coupon it offers. Some dance bars work with one nightclub, while others work with a few.
• While you're having fun out partying, try not to lose control too much as police patrols the main streets every night. I've seen too many unnecessary conflicts between drunk "ayia napans" and officers. You don’t want to find yourself locked for a night!
